Equity of Access and Opportunity in Education

The Bates Family Foundation directly relieves the suffering of children and young people with limited opportunities by sponsoring them to ensure they are provided with access to necessary resources to help them thrive and support them in their education.

Donations to under resourced children and young people are made on a need's basis, with funding coordinated with the School Principal/administration.

The founders of the foundation are active philanthropists and are firm believers in creating strong communities, which only happens when we all play our part. Over many years they have supported local communities, including sponsoring charities and socially disadvantaged children in local schools. As a result of this sponsorship, the founders have enabled the purchase of books, uniforms, and special equipment for students in need, as well as financially supporting struggling families, and students with learning difficulties.
